Kelley Ridge Kennels is not like the others.
I don't kennel my dogs unless necessary. They have a 3 archer pasture run, with a pond, shade trees, cover, and a big inside area with barrel houses. Free fed high quality food in 4 25# bins. they eat to protean level and quit. They are all athletes in shape year round. My whelping rooms are 8x8x8 windows, insulated, heated, AC, with a doggy door to a private kennel and yard. Pictures of the place can be seen in the photo gallery. I have several others to add. |
Peanut; BrittanyCurrently my house dog. This guy is the coolest and most versatile dog I have. Pictures of him all over the site.
He is the most requested hunting dog I have. Trials on foot and horseback. Rock solid on point, retrieves anything to hand. Can Whoa him at 100 + Yards if he can hear you. Hes can do it all. Freckles, English SetterDouble bred Shadow Oke Bo, I acquired her late 2019 with two of her sister littermates. I kept her. Reason was. When they escaped my puppy yard, Heading to the next county. I yelled Here and she turned and came to me. The others were caught down the road in the feild with my UTV.
Luna, BrittanyLuna is from High Hopes Dark Night line. Has been doing a nice job naturally with no training. It is my fault for not developing her sooner. She will get more focus this year since I just started her last year.Marley, Llewellin Setter (Crossed the Rainbow bridge. Greatly missed)Passed away around 7/15/23. Daughter to Lady and Count from Mountain View Llewellin setters. 100% Humphry Bred Dashing Bondhu. I kept her from a special litter so I could keep my rare bloodline pure.
Kellie, BrittanyKellie is from my Lacy and Gunner. Both are gone now. Kellie likes to run and chase birds. I have not developed her much on trialing. She and Tre have given me very nice pups for my customers that fit there lifestyal.

Ginger Brittany (Crossed the Rainbow bridge. Greatly missed)Ginger is my best NSTRA dog. Goes to regional every year. I will add her bloodline later (Sire is Peter Gunn).
She is all natural. Not had a day of pro training. She has been competing since 7 months old. She's just got it down naturally. Works close, handles Great, low and slow finding birds. Naturally Backs. Shes got some go if she wants to, and listens well. Also very sweet. TEX, (GSP) German Shorthair PointerJax'D Up Karma's Odds Texas Twister. Tex was the runt. Not anymore. Got him from a friend of mine that I have watched his very nice GSPs a number of times. He's currently with a trainer for bird work.
Sassy, BrittanyThis litter girl, yes littel. She is a powerhouse. From a show line and has a reputation in the Midwest Trialing groups. Dang she is fast. The big running Pointers and Setters cant keep up with her. She can pass them on a dead run and finds tons of birds. But she does not like to get her hair wet in a pond or water barrel. She's fancy. If the feild is wet that's ok with her. This litter girl has had a bird flush, chase into a brush pile. She dove in feet a flailing and caught it. Brought it and set it down in front of the judge on horseback. Looked at him for a moment and hit the jet engines again. Natural composition and stacks automatically. Many customers have wanted to buy her from me when they visit.Lady, Llewellin SetterThe Princess. She thinks she is special and she runs the yard. 100% Humphry Bred Dashing Bondhu. Lady is my main momma for the Llewellin. She has hunted and ran in NSTRA. Llewellin are very unique and she fits it well.
Blazer, Llewellin Setter (Crossed the Rainbow bridge. Greatly missed)Passed away 2/23/23. A huge loss to me and my Kennel. Blazer was a beautiful amazing dog. Blazer is my main Stud and fully natural hunter. He's kind of the boss but real easy to get along with. Laid back and calm, yet still lets you know what he or the rest of the dogs needs.
100% Humphry Bred Dashing Bondhu. |
Kodie; Llewellin SetterKodie is the son of Blazer and Lady. He has won the North Texas Bird dog championship 2018 and I run him in NSTRA. !00% Humphry Bred Dashing Bondhu. Tri-Belton. Born all white the ticking cam in as he got older.
Tre, BrittanyHe's a darn nice looking Brittany. He is my main stud. One of my NSTRA dogs. He has everything going for him but patents on birds. He holds, handles well, backs, retrieves, great style. He listens. The only one I have right now that I can call off right back on a flushed bird he's chasing. Hunts steady. Only thing missing is patients sometimes. He will hold a bird steady walking or not for a very long time until I get there. But I get about 5 feet away, and at times he pounces/ flushes the bird. Now I have won a trial with a lot of walking birds on the feild as he will hold them all the way to me chasing or kicking it up to fly. But if it's just sitting there, he may jump.
Perl, Llewellin SetterDaughter of Blazer and Lady, Brother to Kodie. Has never been bred. She is full of energy and go. Llewellins are normally pretty laid back unless in the feild. Perl is on the go go go. She is a good looking girl and some have wanted to buy her from me. She may be for sale. let me know.Billy, BrittanyGabe, English SetterThis is Gabe. NBHA National Amateur RU Puppy of the Year 2018-19 season.
He runs real nice in horseback big running trials. ther are a lot of handelers and judged that like him. I call him big dog well because he kind of is the giGabe has been earning his place in the house, by being relaxed and not bothering me. Goes right in the dog box when told and even not told. Just with a look. Only two have earned it. Peanut and Gabe. but I may add Blazer and Lady to the house. they use to be my house dogs a few yars ago. |
